To be a good finder means to open your heart, eyes and mind. When one is dwelling in darkness and all the bad that is in this life, they are kept blind. This devotional encourages us all to keep our eyes on Gods works and therefore on all that is good. Pray for your friends and those that are in your company.
Try with all your might to stay away from those that drain your energy and dim your light, but keep them in your prayers so that they might find Gods mercy and grace too. “When’s Gods favour is the least visible, it is functioning at its best on our behalf.” - just because we do not see it with our earthly eyes, does not mean that He is not working.
I was asked how I can retrain my mind to always seek Gods favour, and it’s sitting heavy in my chest trying to answer it. I think I could make progress in finding Him in everything by firstly being kinder to myself and being softer when my mental distinctions are loud. Easier said than done of course, but it’s nice to be able to put a name on things and work from there.
Psalm 5:12 says that Gods favour covers and surrounds those that are righteous like a shield.
Thank You Father that we are blessed enough to be in your presence. Thank You for your constant glory and grace, and your everlasting faith in us as human beings. Open our spiritual eyes so that we are not blinded to your goodness, open our ears to hear your word and open our hearts so that we are receptive to the Holy Spirit. Do not give up on us, but instead help us to seek You and become honourable beings in our time on earth. In your holy name, thank You Jesus, amen.💌
